Greetings! The following are the Announcements from Sunday June 14, 2020

1. This past week the Brothers on the pulpit interviewed Jacob Gerber and Nihal Biaju. Both confess peace and desire baptism. We would ask the congregation to reach out to them if needed with encouragement, questions or concerns in the next week or two. 

Jacob and Nihal now join our other 3 converts, Connor Hany, Lydia Welti, and Jeremy Zahner awaiting baptism. 

We want to share with you our plans for their testimonies to be heard by the church and to proceed with baptism. 

On Thursday July 16th we will hear the testimonies of Connor, Jeremy and Jacob beginning at 6:30 PM. 

Lydia and Nihal will give their testimonies on Friday evening July 17th also at 6:30PM. 

Baptisms will be Sunday July 19 either morning and / or afternoon depending on the situation that weekend. We hope to have an outside service which should allow for more to attend. 

We believe there is enough space to accommodate each converts immediate family along with aunts and uncles at each of the testimonies on Thursday and Friday evening.

Additionally, there will be procedures put into place that Brothers and Sisters can use secured Zoom access to see and hear the testimonies on Thursday and Friday.

 2. Signup for next week’s services is accessed through the link below. Please begin by signing up for one service per week. If we have extra capacity available for a given service, we will send out a note inviting you to sign up for a second service.

In addition, We have penciled in Sunday June 28 to hold outside services for both morning and afternoon, with the morning service available only for those 65+ or with conditions that prevent them from attending inside services. More details including how to sign up will be shared next Sunday.

 

3. There will be no Sunday School for the next two Sundays. Classes will resume on Sunday, July 5th.

Reminder: Please check to ensure you have paid your Silver Lining subscription. Of the approximately 180 on the list only 16 of us have paid the $18 annual subscription. Checks can be made out to Apostolic Christian Church of Ellington and mailed to Brother Doug Schneider. Please mark Silver Lining in the memo section of the check.

Reminder: We have been working on getting our church directory online. Please follow the instructions on the following link on how to get access to the directory and update your information.

We will be changing classes for our Sunday school children in June. We welcome any child who will be 4 years of age by December 31, 2020 into our preschool class.
