1. HarvestCall — Hospital Lumber Virtual Benefit Auction:
Item donations are needed for the Hospital Lumiere’s virtual benefit auction planned for Thursday, November 3 through Saturday, November 5. Auction items should be to Bluffton, IN by Oct. 24. 2. Silver Lining article submission opportunity:
The next Silver Lining reader-submitted article is set for January 2023. The topic is: “From others’ examples or your own experiences, how can living out Christ’s Way of Peace* (Luke 1:79) cultivate healthy, godly relationships in this world?”
*an all-pervasive lifestyle based on God’s character throughout the Bible, which seeks not only to end conflicts but also to pursue forgiveness, reconciliation, and healing for everyone involved
Please submit your contribution (length = 600 words or less) on this topic to features@acsilverlining.org by November 15, 2022. For questions or assistance, you may email that same address.
3. Apologetics conference:
Registration has been opened to all interested attendees for the Apologetics Conference on Saturday,
November 12 in Washington, IL. Registration is required and open until October 23.
This conference is the third annual offering by the Apologetics Committee of the Elders Teaching
Resource, which exists to raise awareness of what apologetics is, why it matters, and provide entryways
into major apologetic questions. The theme is "Who is God?” Topics include:
• Is God Good?
• Is Jesus God?
• Can God Be 3-in-1?
• Why Does This Matter?
• This is Why We Worship
Facilitated discussion groups will be offered through the day to further explore these questions.
