November 20th
Greetings! The following are the Announcements for Sunday November 20, 2022
1. Calling hours for Sis Virginia Bahler will be at church on Monday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm with the funeral on Tuesday at 10:30am.
2. Sis Alma Luginbuhl passed away on Friday evening. We are thankful for Sis Alma’s release from this life and extend our love and sympathy to the family. Calling hours will be at church on Tuesday afternoon from 3-7pm with the funeral on Wednesday at 10:30am.
3. Services this week will be on Thanksgiving morning with singing at 10:00 a.m.
4. Looking ahead to our calendar for December:
-Christmas Carol sing will be Saturday, December 3 at 7pm in the Sunday School assembly.
-Traveling Christmas Caroling is tentatively slotted for Saturday, December 10, but will require some couples to take ownership of planning and coordinating this function. If you are interested, please contact Bro Brad Wiegand.
-Our Christmas program is scheduled for Sunday afternoon, December 18.
5. After our Christmas Carol Singing , those interested will be invited to attend a short presentation in the Sunday School Assembly by Bro Brent, Bro. Kevin, and Sis. Christy Stoller on her upcoming 4-month surgical trip to the African Country of Togo. Some of you are aware of Sis. Christy’s interest in serving the poor and disadvantaged throughout the world. We want to provide a way for our congregation to act as a support and “sending” church for her and will take about 30-45 minutes to explain our plans to support sister Christy and allow her to inform us of her upcoming mission in Africa.
6. We are soon entering the final week of this year’s Fellowship Center collection. Contributions to date are at just over half of the 2022 intentions. We would encourage you to complete your intended donations by the end of November if possible.
7. Our annual business meeting is scheduled for Sunday evening, January 22, at 7pm. Nomination ballots need to be returned to the box by the bulletin board by Nov 20. If you have any proposed agenda topics, please have those to Sis Mary-Ann Gerber or to Bro Brent by Sunday, December 4th.
