July 31st
Greetings! The following are the Announcements for Sunday July 31, 2022
1. The 2022 General Conference will be in Bluffton Country church on Friday, August 5th.
· If you would like to view Friday’s General Conference virtually, please see the link in the church e-mail. The live audio feed will also be available on AC Central–Bluffton Country. Link to view General Conference: https://www.blufftoncountry.com/watch-live
· Bro Kevin and I will certainly appreciate your prayers throughout this week at the conference
2. Our collection for HarvestCall, Gateway Woods, and a few other needs begins now through the end of August.
3. From the Sound Committee:
· AC Central now has the capability to livestream video, similar to our Zoom broadcast.
· We plan to transition from Zoom video to AC Central over the next month. Starting next week and through the month of August, video services will be available on both Zoom and AC Central. If it works well, we plan to discontinue zoom and use AC Central only starting in September.
· For those of you who utilize the telephone dial-in service to listen to services, the sound committee would like to help you transition over to AC Central if possible.
i. The sound committee will attempt to proactively reach out to those of you who regularly use the telephone dial-in service, and help to provide a simple way for you to listen through AC Central.
ii. However, they may not be aware of your need, so if you or someone you know occasionally use the telephone dial-in service, please reach out to Bro Sam Virkler or one of the other sound committee members, and they will work with you to ensure you can successfully connect through AC Central.
4. Sunday School sound system upgrade:
· The sound committee has requested approval for new sound system in the Sunday School. The prior system, which includes equipment that is nearly 50 years old, has stopped working, and we are now relying on a temporary backup system.
· The sound committee has worked with a consultant and determined that it is most prudent to do a complete upgrade to a system similar to the one recently installed here in the main assembly. They have planned for sharing some of the equipment with the future Fellowship Center.
· The total cost of the project is estimated at $15,000. Adequate funds are available in the general fund and no special collection is necessary. This project has the support of the ministering brothers, trustees, and the Sunday School superintendent.
· The cost is above our current bylaw threshold, so we plan take a vote to approve this project next Sunday following afternoon services.
· Any questions on the proposal should be directed to Bro Sam Virkler.
