December 26th

December 30, 2021

Greetings! The following are the Announcements for Sunday December 26, 2021

Please see the announcements below from this past Sunday, as well as a covid-related communication sent to the Single Group and their invited guests for this weekend's Single Group Invite.

1. New Year’s Day services will be on Saturday morning with singing at 10am.

2. The monthly adult Bible Class will be on Sunday morning at 9am in the Sunday School.

3. The single group is hosting an invite-a-friend weekend over New Year’s Day weekend. We are expecting approximately 70-75 visitors.

 (a) A general singing is planned for Sunday evening at 7pm at church.

 (b) As a point of awareness, we have copied below the covid-related guidance shared earlier this week with the single group hosts and their invited guests:

Single Group Invite-a-Friend Weekend — Guidance to Hosts and Guests:

For Single Group Hosts:
1. For you as a host, if you become or have been exposed to covid within the 5 days preceding the arrival of your guests, we recommend you either:
(a) ask your guests to take a rain check and come visit a different time.
(b) Follow CDC guidelines for those who have been exposed, and inform your guests so they can choose whether or not to come.

2. If you or one of your guests finds out while guests are here that you or they have been exposed in last few days or have covid, you will need to be prepared to:
(a) Find a way to isolate or appropriately quarantine whoever has been exposed (possibly including yourself)
(b) Be prepared to find a different place for your guests to stay if they are already here, recognizing that others may already have all of the guests they can accommodate at this time.

3. After the weekend, please do not visit any elderly or potentially vulnerable people until 5 days have passed and you are symptom-free.

For Single Group Invite Guests:
1. We are looking forward to a blessed weekend of fellowship.

2. We are all well aware of the current spike in Covid rates across the country.
- We considered postponing the weekend but have decided to continue forward assuming all of us (both hosts and guests) will be especially considerate of others and use prudent judgment approaching and throughout the weekend.
- We want you to be aware that our culture here in New England may be different than you are accustomed to, with greater precautions being the norm in our community in general, especially those with underlying health conditions.

3. We are seeking to reasonably apply CDC guidelines including those related to exposure, quarantine, and symptoms. Here are two important points to consider:
(a) If you have been exposed to someone with covid in the 5 days preceding your arrival, we ask that you take a rain check and come visit a different time.
(b) If you are having any covid-related symptoms, we ask that you take a rain check and come visit a different time, unless you have a negative test result taken in the last 72 hours and taken after you started having symptoms.
